Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba has tendered his resignation

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has tendered his resignation, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has said.

 

Verkhovna Rada MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak earlier said that the Ukrainian cabinet may undergo personnel reshuffles and dismissals, Foreign Minister Kuleba and Justice Minister Denis Maluska may lose their posts. The head of the Servant of the People faction in parliament, David Arahamiya, said that we can expect a big reset of the Ukrainian government. According to him, 50 per cent of the government’s personnel will undergo changes.

On 3 September, Minister of Strategic Industry Aleksandr Kamyshyn, Justice Minister Maluska and Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets asked for their resignations. In addition, two deputy prime ministers – Olga Stefanyshina and Irina Vereshchuk – wrote resignation letters.

‘The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received a statement from the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba on resignation. The statement will be considered at one of the next plenary sessions’, – wrote Ruslan Stefanchuk in the social network Facebook.
