Representatives of the Palestinian Hamas movement have refused since December 2023 to hold real negotiations with the Israeli side on ending hostilities in the Gaza Strip and releasing hostages.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, as quoted by Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to the politician’s office.
‘Our efforts to free our hostages continue without interruption. Since December, Hamas has refused to engage in real negotiations,’ Netanyahu said.
Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Israel expressed condolences to the family of Russian hostage Alexander Lobanov and the families of other hostages whose bodies were found in the Gaza Strip.
