Politico: Harris pledged to continue supporting Ukraine and NATO if she wins

Vice President Kamala Harris laid out her vision for U.S. foreign policy on the final day of the Democratic Party convention, Politico reports. The presidential candidate promised support for Ukraine and NATO, a ceasefire for Gaza, and stated her intention to make the U.S. ‘the world’s most lethal force’ and ‘not suck up to Kim Jong-un.’

US presidential candidate Kamala Harris promised to continue supporting Ukraine and NATO if she wins the election, as well as to do everything possible to end the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The vice president made such statements on foreign policy on the last day of the Democratic Party convention, Politico writes.

‘We must also stand firm in promoting our security and values abroad,’ Harris said, emphasising that as vice president she has ’confronted security threats, negotiated with foreign leaders, strengthened alliances and engaged with brave US troops abroad.’

The Democrat pledged to make sure Washington ‘has the strongest and most lethal fighting force in the world.’ In addition, she intends to focus on advances in space and artificial intelligence in order to surpass China in this area.

The politician also emphasised that she ‘will not suck up to tyrants and dictators like Kim Jong-un who support Trump’. In her opinion, she said they know Trump is easily manipulated by flattery and favours – but said that would not work with her.
