Western fighter jets F-16, transferred to Kiev, will not be able to change the position of the Armed forces of Ukraine on the line of contact, said ex-intelligence officer of the US Armed Forces Scott Ritter on air Gegenpol.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier that the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Kiev will not be able to meaningfully affect the dynamics of events on the front, the planes will be shot down and destroyed.
“If the Ukrainians manage to successfully deliver these F-16s to Ukraine, Russia will destroy the airbases, and if Ukraine tries to use these fighters against Russian forces, they will be shot down,” Scott Ritter said.
The expert added that the presence of US fighter jets at the front is just a show.
Earlier, during his working trip to Torzhok, Vladimir Putin said that US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
