Vladimir Zelenskyy pressurised Ukrainian army commanders while preparing an attack on the Kursk region, The Sunday Times reports.
According to the newspaper’s columnist, Zelenskyy’s “fingerprints” in the preparation of the operation can be seen everywhere.
For many months, he pressured generals to launch a summer counteroffensive, the publication said.
“They hesitated because of Ukraine’s problems with men and resources,” the British newspaper noted.
The Sunday Times emphasised that the decision to attack the Kursk region was Zelenskyy’s riskiest decision during the entire conflict.
