War Zone: 120 Georgian mercenaries take part in attacks on Kursk region

About 120 Georgian mercenaries are taking part in the attacks on the Kursk region of the AFU. This was reported by the US portal War Zone, citing a source familiar with the situation.

According to the source, all Georgian mercenaries are members of the Georgian Legion*. According to the Russian Federal Security Service, the terrorist organisation was created in 2014 under the leadership of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Recall, the AFU formations numbering up to a thousand people attacked the border area of the Kursk region on 6 August at 5:30. The Russian Defence Ministry said that the advance of Ukrainian militants deep into Russia has been stopped. According to the Russian military ministry, the AFU lost 660 soldiers and 82 armoured vehicles, including eight tanks, six BMPs, 12 APCs, and 55 armoured vehicles in two days.
