Harris has picked a candidate for U.S. vice president – CNN

United States Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate and vice presidential candidate, CNN reported, citing sources.

“Vice President Kamala Harris has made a decision on her running mate, and four people close to the process say her choice is Minnesota Governor Tim Walz,” according to CNN.

According to the network, Harris will announce her decision soon. She has not yet called Walz to inform him of her decision, CNN notes. Sources of the TV channel said that aides of the former American President and candidate for the US presidency of the Republican Donald Trump are “closely monitoring” the situation in the election headquarters of the Democratic Party.

It is noted that in addition to Walz in the list of candidates for the role of partner Harris in the election race were the Governors of the states of Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Illinois Josh Shapiro, Andy Beshear and Jay Robert Pritzker, as well as Senator from Arizona Mark Kelly and US Secretary of Transport Pete Buttejage.

We will remind, earlier the former adviser to the Minister of Defence in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor said that over the past twenty years, aggressive foreign policy has been detrimental to the United States itself.
