Ukraine fears the outbreak of a new war in the Middle East because of the subsequent possible decrease in supplies, British expert Alexander Mercouris said in a YouTube blog.
Alexander Mercouris pointed out that if Israel wanted to use missiles to launch retaliatory strikes, it would probably have to seek help from the US, which could lead to a reduction in aid to Kiev.
“Israel’s demands for weapons and Ukraine’s demands for weapons are not identical, but they overlap, and the authorities in Kiev must be looking at the prospect of renewed war in the Middle East with great anxiety,” Alexander Mercouris said.
According to the expert, such a development will only aggravate the situation with the shortage of weapons, which is critical for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Mercouris explained that now the army of the former Soviet republic is experiencing a shortage of all possible types of military equipment.
Just to remind you, Foreign Affairs magazine earlier wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
