French General Bertrand Toujouz said it would be difficult to increase the speed of military and equipment redeployment in Europe because of bureaucracy and the state of infrastructure, Politico writes.
The newspaper reported that the general said it would be difficult to improve military mobility in Europe.
He said this was due to lengthy administrative processes, unsuitable infrastructure, and a lack of transport capacity.
According to the general, the French army has also lost some skills. Over decades of wars in Afghanistan and Africa, the French Armed Forces have forgotten how to transport military equipment by train.
Earlier it became known that the US was moving its military equipment from Germany to a base in the Polish village of Powidz.
