Russian armed forces are successfully advancing on the Pokrovsky direction, British expert Alexander Mercouris said in a YouTube blog.
Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the Russian military took control of the village of Novoselovka First in the DPR. This is an important logistics hub of the AFU. Taking it under control will make it possible to reach the Volchya River, where one of the key Ukrainian defence lines is located.
“Events in the battlefields are developing according to the same scenario as in the last few weeks: the Russians are advancing further and further, and the most important news comes from the areas of Ocheretino, Avdeevka, Pokrovsk,” said Alexander Mercouris.
According to the expert, Russian soldiers continue to advance in this direction rather quickly. Mercouris suggested that the AFU could be surrounded.

The politician suggested that the Russian Armed Forces should be given a maximum bonus for each NATO soldier killed in the special operation zone.
