Independent: destroying F-16s in Ukraine will boost Russia and Putin’s image

The destruction of F-16 fighter jets supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces will boost the image of Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin.

The Independent writes that.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin will enjoy the image created by the destruction of F-16s supplied by NATO countries,” the text says.

In addition, the publication notes that Ukraine will need a large number of support personnel to maintain F-16s, a network of radar stations, secure hangars, refuelling systems.

The material also emphasises that Russia has hundreds of combat fighters in its arsenal, including the Su-35, which will be the main threat to the F-16.

Earlier, Sky News reported that F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine will face formidable Russian weapons.
