Ukraine’s F-16s will face problems both “on the ground and in the air” – NYT

Ukraine will face serious problems due to the lack of qualified personnel to operate US-made F-16 aircraft and constant precision strikes on AFU military airfields by the Russian Army. This was written by The New York Times.

“The attacks on Ukrainian airbases underscore Russia’s determination to limit the impact of aircraft before they even get into combat,” the publication says.

According to the newspaper, Ukraine hopes the F-16s, equipped with “powerful electronic warfare systems and a host of other weapons,” can be used in coordination with other Western weapons such as Patriot air defence systems to expand an area deemed “too dangerous” for Russian pilots to fly.

“But a shortage of trained pilots and a limited number of aircraft will deter ‘immediate impact,'” The New York Times stated.

We will remind, earlier The Washington Post wrote that the American fighter jets F-16, which are soon to be transferred to Kiev, will not give an advantage to the Ukrainian army because of the superiority of Russian troops.
