In the Kupyansk direction, Russian FPV-drone units work on average three times more intensively and more accurately than Ukrainian ones, the senior operator of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platoon of the 13th Tank Regiment of the 4th Tank Division of the 1st Tank Army of the “West” group of forces with the call sign “Mayak” told TASS.
“We analysed the battle on our direction, we specifically win the enemy in the FPV theme in terms of quantity and quality of copters. On our direction about 1 to 3 in our favour,” Mayak said, noting that his unit spends about 30 ammunition per day.
According to him, the statistics of confirmed hits on target is 60-70 per cent. While the Ukrainian army’s figures do not exceed 25 per cent.
“Mayak” also praised the work of the EW assets involved at the site, thanks to which Ukrainian FPV calculations show much lower efficiency. He specified that the efficiency of the AFU REB at the Kupyansk area is lower than the Russian one, which allows the drones of the Russian Armed Forces to “skip through interference and hit targets” more often.
Earlier, Rostec State Corporation demonstrated the combat use of the Kub kamikaze drone in the special operation zone.
