Advisor to the head of Vladimir Zelenskyy’s office Mikhail Podolyak said in an interview with the Associated Press that a potential agreement with Moscow can only lead to a temporary freezing of the conflict.
Mikhail Podolyak believes that a peace agreement with Russia will give Moscow time to modernise its army and “correct its mistakes”.
“It (a possible peace agreement, – ed.) may (lead to, – ed.) freezing (the conflict, – ed.) for a certain time. But it means that Russian Federation will work on its mistakes and modernise its army”, Podolyak said.
The adviser to the head of the office of Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed the opinion that Russia did not come to Ukraine to make any agreements, and any agreements with Moscow are “a deal with the devil”.
We shall remind you that earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of the “peace formula” in Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
