Hungary is threatened with an energy crisis amid Ukraine’s suspension of oil transit from Russia through the country.
“The measures taken by Ukraine could create a dire situation,” Ilona Gizinska, an expert on Hungary at the Centre for Eastern Studies think tank, told Politico.
According to her, Hungary could face a sharp rise in prices and electricity shortages in just a few weeks, but the available supplies will last only three months.
Member of the State Duma from the Crimean region and a member of the security committee, Mikhail Sheremet, said earlier that Zelensky’s regime had turned to a policy of blackmail and pressure against Hungary.
