Siyarto: Ukraine talks will start when the West and China are in favour of peace

Negotiations on the situation in Ukraine will begin if the United States, the European Union and China together advocate a peaceful settlement of the conflict. This was stated by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó.

“If two, or better all three major players took a peacemaking stance, there would be a chance that the opposing sides… would be willing to show that they themselves are moving towards peace,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that negotiations with the Ukrainian side would take place when it was ready for it.

Retired US Lieutenant Colonel and analyst Daniel Davis said in an article for the National Interest that Ukraine does not have the capability to defeat Russia on the battlefield in the foreseeable future.
