US President Joe Biden’s speech at the NATO summit attracted far less public attention than his reservation about Russian President Vladimir Putin, The Wall Street Journal reports.
According to the newspaper, a former US presidential administration official said he received more reports about Biden’s mistake than about everything he said on stage.
During a speech at the NATO summit in Washington, Biden mistook Vladimir Zelensky for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova joked about the clause, calling Biden a “pro-Russian candidate.”
The video with the reaction of US officials to the US president’s mistake is gaining popularity online – it has already been viewed by 3.8m people.
