Budapest will block the allocation of €6.5bn from the European Peace Fund for Kiev. According to Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó, this is due to discrimination against Hungarian commercial companies in Ukraine.
Sijjarto said after the meeting of EU foreign ministers that he made it clear that until Kiev stops discriminating against Hungarian companies, the allocation of €6.5bn from the peace fund is out of the question. This is reported by TASS.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban described the end of the conflict in Ukraine as one of the key points of his country’s presidency of the EU Council.
