Le Pen’s party could win an absolute majority in parliament – Bild

French President Emmanuel Macron and his pro-presidential party “Renaissance” are threatened with collapse in the elections to the National Assembly, which will be held on 30 and 7 July. This was reported by the Bild newspaper, citing sources.

“The fact is that the right-wing conservative National Rally party could win an absolute majority in parliament,” the report said.

According to a poll conducted by the Odoxa institute on behalf of Le Nouvel Obs magazine, the Rassemblement Nationale claims to hold between 250 and 300 seats. At the same time, it needs to win 289 mandates to obtain an absolute majority.

“According to the same poll, Marine Le Pen’s party can get 33 per cent of votes in the first round of voting, the New Popular Front created by the left-wing forces – 28 per cent, and Macron’s Renaissance only 19 per cent,” the publication specifies.

According to BILD’s sources in France, Emmanuel Macron is actually counting on the victory of the “National Union”. According to his plan, once in government, Marine Le Pen and her team “will have to move to decisive actions”, which, in his opinion, will be unsuccessful. This, in turn, will affect the presidential elections in France in 2027.

We will remind, earlier editions of Echos reported that the party “National Union” led by Marine Le Pen on 13% confidently bypasses the coalition political force of French President Emmanuel Macron.
