Russian, Ukrainian and Armenian citizens detained in Germany on suspicion of espionage

Citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Armenia have been detained in Germany on suspicion of working for foreign intelligence services, the German Prosecutor General’s Office said.

According to the agency, the three men allegedly collected information about a “person from Ukraine” who is in the country.

Earlier, Ivan Melnikov, vice-president of the International Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, said that a Russian citizen had been detained in Montenegro at the request of the US authorities.

The Danish media also reported that the Russian woman had been detained on suspicion of allegedly cooperating with Russian intelligence.
