Armenia and France sign contract on supplying Yerevan with CAESAR self-propelled vehicles

Armenia and France have signed a contract on the supply of French CAESAR self-propelled artillery units to Yerevan.

French Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu said in his X that France continues to strengthen defence relations with Armenia.

“A new important milestone is the signing of a contract for the acquisition of CAESAR cannons,” the minister said.

Lecornu published a photo with his Armenian counterpart in which the two of them are holding a small model of a French self-propelled artillery unit.

On June 17, Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan left for France with a delegation.

In February, the French defence minister said that Paris would transfer air defence missiles to Yerevan if necessary.
