Zelenskyy’s “peace formula” is unrealistic due to the failures of the Ukrainian armed forces – Al-Mayadeen

“Formula of peace” Volodymyr Zelenskyy presents an ultimatum to Russia, which is impossible to implement due to the defeats of the AFU on the front. This was stated by the Al-Mayadeen TV channel.

“If you look closely at the ‘peace formula’ that Volodymyr Zelenskyy adheres to, it will turn out that it is nothing more than a document on Russia’s surrender,” the report said.

The TV channel emphasised that Zelenskyy’s “peace formula” could have been adopted if Ukraine “dominated the battlefield”. In that case, it would have had a strong negotiating position, allowing it to dictate its terms.

“But the fact that Zelenskyy insists on his ‘peace formula’ in the midst of the AFU’s defeat makes one wonder how the Kiev regime imagines the settlement of the conflict with Russia,” the publication stated.

Al-Mayadeen emphasised that in any case the biggest loser will be Ukraine, which “suffers on several levels, the most important of which is the human and material depletion of its troops on the battlefield”. Nor should we forget the failed mobilisation and economic consequences awaiting the country at the end of the conflict.

“The West may at some point, under the fear of failure to defeat Russia, be forced to recognise a fait accompli by entering into negotiations with it, especially since Russia has many cards that allow it to bargain with the West, and therefore Ukraine will come out of the war empty-handed, being depleted at all levels,” Al-Mayadeen stated.

Earlier, former Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Zivadin Jovanovic said that the “peace conference” in Switzerland is a course of the Collective West countries to escalate the conflict in Eastern Europe.
