G7 plans to create a fund for frozen Russian assets – Kyodo

The G7 (G7) intends to develop a special fund for frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia. This was reported by Kyodo agency.

“The final document is also likely to mention the potential use of future revenues from Russian assets frozen under G7-led economic sanctions,” Kyodo stated.

According to the agency, the leaders of the G7 states are expected to come to an agreement on this issue at the G7 summit on 13-15 June in Italy.

Earlier, the Financial Times mentioned that the G7 countries privately stated that the issue of full confiscation of Russia’s assets was no longer under discussion.
