The United States recognises the deaths of Palestinian civilians in the operation to free four Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.
The US President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan made this statement.
“We know civilians have been killed, and that’s a tragedy. It’s heartbreaking,” he said on ABC television.
Earlier it was reported that at least 210 Palestinians were killed because of the Israeli army’s operation to free hostages in Gaza.
