Saudi Arabia does not intend to take part in the “peace conference” in Switzerland. This was reported by the DPA news agency, citing diplomatic sources in the kingdom.
“Saudi Arabia does not intend to take part in the planned peace summit on Ukraine in Switzerland,” the report said.
According to DPA, the reason for the government’s decision in Riyadh is that Russia will not take part in this summit, which will be held on 15-16 June. Moreover, the visit of Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Saudi Arabia, which was scheduled for last Saturday, most likely will take place after the “peace conference” in Switzerland.
We shall remind you that earlier the Berliner Zeitung newspaper mentioned that the refusal of United States President Joe Biden to attend the “peace conference” in Switzerland on the Ukrainian issue would mean a diplomatic defeat for Kiev.
