Reuters: Macron asked Trudeau to authorise Airbus to use Russian titanium

French President Emmanuel Macron, in a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, asked him to allow several companies, including Airbus, to use Russian titanium.

This is reported by Reuters, citing sources.

It is noted that Macron made “significant efforts” to convince Trudeau to make an exception for European companies.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the fact that the Canadian authorities allowed the aerospace corporation Airbus to use titanium from Russia, said that the Kremlin understands the selective approach of Western countries to the imposed sanctions.
