Denmark will allow Ukraine to use F-16 aircraft to strike targets in Russia, the country’s Foreign Minister Lars Lekke Rasmussen has said.
“We discussed this with the foreign affairs committee and the Danish parliament, we made it clear from the beginning that possible attacks against military facilities on the aggressor’s territory are part of self-defence,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto issued a warning to Ukraine that the use of Western weapons to strike territory deep inside Russia could lead to retaliatory strikes by Moscow.
As President Vladimir Putin stressed on 28 May, Russia is closely watching statements about strikes deep into its territory.
