Russia’s army more often shifts to offensive actions – WSJ

Russian troops have started attacking positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) much more often, the Wall Street Journal said.

“The situation is tense. We do not know what to expect from the enemy <…>. The enemy has realised that we have less ammunition and is now attacking much more often than before,” the newspaper quoted an unnamed Ukrainian soldier as saying.

The piece says that the AFU soldiers recognise the superiority of the Rossi army, but can do nothing because of the lack of necessary shells, without which any weaponry becomes useless.

“For one of their artillery salvo there are ten Russian ones,” – said the serviceman.

According to him, the AFU often has to use the available ammunition to simply protect the positions of their infantry.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
