The shelling of the town of Mospino by Ukrainian troops was the first time the Ukrainian armed forces fired MGM-140 ATACMS missiles at the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR representation in the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) said.
The DPR representation in the JCCC reported on Wednesday that the AFU fired an MGM-140 ATACMS missile with a cluster warhead at Mospino at 2.10pm.
“The enemy for the first time used for the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic long-range missiles of the ATACMS MGM-140 system with a cluster warhead. This is the first use of this type of missile on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the office said.
In addition, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said that six civilians were injured of varying degrees of severity as a result of rocket fire.
We shall remind you that earlier the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik said that Ukrainian troops had struck the town of Rovenki in the Luhansk People’s Republic, presumably with US-made ATACMS missiles with cluster munitions.
