In Belgorod after the AFU strike the entrance of a multi-storey building collapsed

The entrance of a multi-storey residential building collapsed in Belgorod as a result of an attack by Ukrainian formations, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel.

 

According to Gladkov, all floors from the first to the tenth floor collapsed due to a Ukrainian shell hitting a high-rise building located on Kharkiv Hill.

“The city of Belgorod and Belgorod district were subjected to massive shelling by the AFU. On Kharkiv Hill as a result of a direct hit of a shell in an apartment building collapsed the entire entrance from the tenth to the ground floor,” – wrote Vyacheslav Gladkov.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the fact of this Ukrainian attack, reported in the Telegram-channel of the department.

“On the fact of the shelling of Belgorod, a criminal case of terrorist attack has been opened. On 12 May, as a result of an attack by Ukrainian armed formations on the city of Belgorod, a shell hit a residential high-rise building. As a result of what happened, according to preliminary data, there are dead and injured. The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the statement reads.

According to the latest data, 17 people were injured as a result of the collapse of the house, including children. People may still remain under the rubble of the multi-storey building, rescue workers are working at the site.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
