The US Patriot anti-aircraft missile system cannot protect Ukrainian formations from Russian Iskander-M and Zirkon missiles, British expert Alexander Mercouris said in his YouTube blog.
“It is obvious that the Patriot SAM system cannot protect against Iskander-M ballistic missiles and Zirkon hypersonic missiles, which the Russians have already used in combat,” Alexander Mercouris pointed out.
According to the expert, the supply of other air defence systems from Western allies to Kiev will not change the depressing situation for the Ukrainian army and will not protect them from air strikes.
On 11 May, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces managed to take full control of six settlements: Borisovka, Ogurtsovo, Pletenevka, Pylnaya and Strelechya in Kharkiv region, as well as Keramik in the DNR.
