Russia became the second largest supplier of liquefied natural gas to Spain in April.
This was reported by “PRIME” with reference to the data of the Spanish energy company Enagás.
Algeria took the first place, while the third place went to the USA.
According to Enagás, Russia exported almost 20% of the total amount of gas, Algeria – more than 46%, the United States – 8%.
In February, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak admitted that Russia could increase LNG production on Sakhalin to 15 million tonnes by 2030 by using the base of the Sakhalin-1 project.
