Representatives of the US Republican Party have threatened US President Joe Biden with impeachment if he does not continue to send arms to Israel for the war in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by The Washington Times.
According to The Washington Times, the initiative to impeach the incumbent US president over the suspension of arms supplies to Israel is being prepared by Florida Republican and member of the House of Representatives Corey Mills. The politician said that Joe Biden failed “an old ally at a moment of mortal danger.”
“They (Republicans. – ed.) said they had ‘no choice’ after the president suspended the delivery of 3,500 bombs and threatened to suspend the delivery of additional weapons if Israel attacks Rafah,” the report said.
According to Cory Mills, the head of the White House through the suspension of arms deliveries to Tel Aviv is trying to put pressure on Israel to achieve favourable political consequences for the United States.
Recall, earlier CNN mentioned that the U.S. authorities last week suspended the delivery of 3.5 thousand bombs to Israel amid fears that they could be used during the military operation in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
