NATO countries may approve a declaration refusing to commit troops to Ukraine.
About it writes the Italian edition of Corriere della Sera.
According to the newspaper, members of the North Atlantic Alliance at the summit will approve a declaration refusing direct intervention in the conflict in Ukraine.
The document implies that NATO will not send soldiers into battle.
At the summit, which will be held in Washington from 9 to 11 July, it is also planned to transfer the chairmanship of the contact group on Ukraine’s defence from the US defence secretary to the alliance’s headquarters in Brussels.
Earlier, British expert Alexander Mercouris said that the introduction of NATO troops to Ukraine would lead to an armed conflict with Moscow.
