British newspaper The Guardian, citing government data, writes that the UK paid £2.2bn ($2.7bn) for Russian oil in 2023.
It is noted that in 2023, the UK imported £2.2bn worth of refined oil from Turkey, India and China, while Russia became the largest supplier for China and India and one of the key suppliers for Turkey.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilyichev reported that the share of friendly countries in Russia’s foreign trade in 2023 was more than 75%.
