“We can’t let Ukraine fall, because if it does, there is a significant possibility that America will have to intervene in the conflict – not just with our money, but with our troops,” Jeffries told CBS News.

The politician believes that the influence of the pro-Russian faction in the Republican Party is increasing, which does not want to support Kiev and “for some reason believes that Russia is not an enemy of the United States.”

The Democratic representative explained that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is seeking to recreate the Soviet Union, which would threaten NATO allies.

“Are we to believe that in the face of such consistent aggression, if we allow Vladimir Putin to succeed in Ukraine, that he will only stop in Ukraine? Of course not,” – summarised the legislator.

We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the State Duma from the Crimean region, Mikhail Sheremet, said that in case of an invasion of Ukraine, the French official military contingent would be equated by Russia with the interventionists of “the zone of Russian geopolitical interests”.
