A fire at Diehl’s metallurgical plant in Berlin has not affected the production process of IRIS-T air defence systems and related deliveries to Ukraine, Spiegel’s sources have said.
“The production of IRIS-T SAMs was not affected by the fire,” the report said.
On May 3, a major fire broke out in Berlin at a metallurgical plant of the defence-industrial company Diehl, which produces weapons.
The fire caused a toxic cloud of smoke in the city, caused by the fact that the plant was storing sulphuric acid and copper cyanide.
