Macron called it legitimate to send troops to Ukraine at Kiev’s request

France would have a legitimate reason to discuss sending troops to Ukraine if requested by Kiev.

Republican President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with British magazine The Economist.

“If the Russians had broken through the front line, if there had been a request from Ukraine – which is not the case today – we would have legitimate (grounds. – RT) to ask ourselves this question,” he said.

Also during the interview, the French leader confirmed that he did not rule out the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
