Russian leader Vladimir Putin has much more influence in the Middle East region than the United States, said in social network X former Pentagon adviser, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor.
“Strategically in the hands of Putin all trump cards in the Middle East. He is highly respected in the region and shows restraint,” explained Douglas McGregor.
However, as the colonel emphasised, the image of the United States in the region has been seriously damaged.
“We look ridiculous, while Russia – powerful,” – concluded the expert.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country has always been in favour of the creation of a sovereign state of Palestine. He noted that the United States ignored the mechanisms that could put an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
