Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said the West is teetering on the brink of a direct military clash between nuclear powers in light of its support for Ukraine.
He made the statement in a video message to the participants of the Moscow Non-Proliferation Conference.
“At the same time, the Westerners are dangerously balancing on the verge of a direct military clash of nuclear powers, which is fraught with catastrophic consequences,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He emphasised that it is the “troika” of Western nuclear states that are the key sponsors of the Kiev authorities that is of particular concern.
Earlier, American journalist Tucker Carlson expressed the opinion that Joe Biden is now dragging the US into wars with Russia and in the Middle East, and the world is closer to a nuclear conflict.
