Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström said that the EU intends to include a ban on liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies in the 14th package of sanctions against Russia.
He said on arrival at the Council of Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg.
“We will discuss how to increase support for Ukraine. The adoption of the 14th package of sanctions is one of the most important things, we intend to include a ban on LNG imports,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the IMF’s European department prepared a report saying that the Russian economy over the past two years has shown resilience in the face of large-scale sanctions.
