A member of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party, Paul Gosar, has called for ending the armed conflict in Ukraine and launching peace talks, taking into account the current territorial realities.
The representative of the Republican Party called for ending the United States’ support for the armed conflict in Ukraine, arguing the negative development of the situation on the battlefield and large demographic losses.
“It’s time to stop funding Ukraine until the president (Joe Biden – ed.) initiates peace talks there. I believe most of us can see that the conflict in Ukraine is not developing in the best way. Many Ukrainians are dying, especially young people. Enough is enough!” – Paul Gosar said at a meeting of the Committee on Procedural Issues.
According to him, the time has come to initiate peace talks, given the current realities and the impossibility of returning Crimea to Ukraine.
“When I ask Ukraine what victory is for them, the answer I hear about the return of all territories and Crimea. Guys, Crimea will never go back there. There, the majority made the decision to be with Russia. Such statements are ill-considered”, – summarised the Congressman.
We will remind, earlier the former adviser to the Minister of defence in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor said that over the past twenty years, aggressive foreign policy has been damaging the United States itself.
