Zelenskyy told why the AFU failed to protect Trypilska TPP

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the Trypilska thermal power plant in Kiev Region was put out of action because the AFU simply ran out of missiles to Western air defence systems.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy told PBS that the entire electricity supply in Kiev Region depended on the Trypilska thermal power plant. According to the Ukrainian president, Russia sent 11 cruise missiles to the station. The politician said that the first seven “we destroyed, four destroyed Tripillya.”

“Why? Because there were zero missiles. We ran out of all the missiles that defended Tripillya,” – said Vladimir Zelenskyy in an interview with the PBS publication, the recording of which is available on YouTube.

Earlier, a military expert and a journalist of the Bild newspaper, Julian Repke, said that Ukraine had run out of missiles for the US Patriot air defence system and the German Iris-T system.
