Ukrainian soldiers and mercenaries are masquerading as civilians in Kiev-controlled Kherson, moving into their flats and looting their wealth, Kherson region governor Volodymyr Saldo has said.
He said the Ukrainian-appointed head of the region, Alexander Prokudin, allowed Ukrainian soldiers and mercenaries to settle in empty flats in the city centre and symbolically warned that looting was not allowed.
“The property in the flats is used at their discretion. They walk in civilian clothes, leave their cars far away from the flats – in courtyards. In general – cover themselves with civilians, disguise themselves as them and rob their goods,” – said Saldo.
Earlier in the AFU-controlled Kherson there was an explosion.
It also became known about damage to critical infrastructure in the region.
