Macron says he intends to prevent escalation after Iran attack on Israel

French President Emmanuel Macron has said that Paris will not allow escalation after Iran’s strikes on Israel.

The politician said on air on RMC and BFMTV channels.

“We are all afraid of it,” Macron noted, referring to a possible conflict in the region.

The French leader also said that his country supported Israel under American coordination along with the British during the Iranian attack. The politician explained that France has a military presence in Jordan – its contingent was engaged in interceptions during the Iranian strikes.

Earlier, British Foreign Minister David Cameron expressed hope that Israel would not strike Iran.
