G7 countries will need $ 10 trillion and 10 years to rearm – Bloomberg

G7 countries will need about ten trillion dollars over the next ten years to realise current plans for rearmament related to conflicts and the outgoing threat from China, Bloomberg writes.

The Bloomberg edition, citing military officials, reported that the G7 countries’ defence spending should be at the level of defence spending during the Cold War and amount to 4% of GDP in order to implement NATO plans.

“The United States and its G7 allies will reach this level, it will mean more than ten trillion dollars over the next decade,” the publication notes.

The material emphasises that large expenditures will be accompanied by difficult decisions in the sphere of taxation, social security and government borrowing.

“This is likely to lead to the transformation of defence companies, public finances and financial markets,” – said in the article Bloomberg.

We shall remind you that earlier a member of the Ukrainian parliament, deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence Yegor Chernev in an interview with the New York Times said in an interview with the New York Times about the growing fear in Ukraine that the army will soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delays the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
