Ukraine says new plans to attack Crimean bridge – Guardian

The British newspaper Guardian, citing high-ranking officials from the GUR, claims that Ukraine plans to attack the Crimean bridge again in the first half of 2024.

“We will do it in the first half of 2024,” the publication quotes a Ukrainian intelligence official as saying.

According to the Guardian, the attack may be carried out with the help of drones. At the same time, the publication reports a lack of clarity on how a Ukrainian attack on such a defended facility would develop.

“There are serious doubts that the Ukrainian armed forces are capable of carrying out a special operation against such a well-defended and obvious target,” the newspaper writes.

Russia has taken large-scale measures to protect the bridge, strengthening air defence in the region, the article said.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that the Russian special military operation pursues the goals of “dislodging the Kiev authorities”, which professes “the ideology of neo-Nazism”, and completely disarming the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
