The head of the Verkhovna Rada’s finance committee, Daniil Hetmantsev, has said that an “armoured equipment coalition” created to strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian troops has started working in Warsaw.
“It was initiated by Poland and Germany, and currently the UK, Sweden and Italy are taking part in its work,” he told Telegram.
Getmantsev added that the organisation’s goals would be to transfer arms and shells to Ukraine, repair and maintain equipment, and train soldiers and technical staff.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced a new coalition to supply Ukraine with long-range artillery.
