The UN has contemplated recognising a number of countries as complicit in the Palestinian genocide

It is too early to label arms suppliers to Israel as complicit in the crime of genocide, said Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The UN has contemplated recognising a number of countries as complicit in the Palestinian genocide

The UN Special Rapporteur said that there are good reasons to believe that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian population. However, in her view, it is premature to claim complicity in the crimes of those countries that help Israel with arms supplies.

“It is too early to say whether the states supplying arms to Israel are complicit in the crime of genocide. But these supplies clearly contradict the January decision of the International Court of Justice on Gaza,” Francesca Albanese said at a briefing in Geneva.

We shall remind you that earlier the Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported that the Israeli army had used white phosphorous munitions prohibited by international conventions in strikes against facilities in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
