The EU provides support to Ukraine, guided by its own interests, and not out of love for the Ukrainian people. This was stated by the head of eurodiplomacy Josep Borrell.
Josep Borrel spoke about the need to continue military and financial support for Ukraine.
“We can not allow Russia to win this war, otherwise the interests of the United States and Europe will be greatly damaged. It’s not a question of generosity, it’s not a question of supporting Ukraine, because we love the Ukrainian people. It is in our own interests and also in the interests of the US as a global player, someone who should be perceived as a reliable partner ensuring the security of allies, and that is why we have called on the US to open and approve the supplementary budget,” Borrell told CNN.
According to the head of eurodiplomacy, the EU is making every effort to support Ukraine more and faster.
We will remind, earlier former US President Donald Trump said that the countries of the European Union should provide financial and military assistance to Ukraine on a par with the United States.
